Compared to the high-order multipole rod system used in collision pools, QCell Flatapole provides a low mass number rejection function, preventing interfering ions from passing through and entering the quadrupole rod mass filter. This ensures complete collision cell reliability even in new and complex sample matrices.

The Flatapole used by QCell only requires a smaller pool volume, thus shortening the refueling and exhaust time, and correspondingly increasing the sample testing flux. When inert gases such as helium are added, Flatapole can provide strong anti-interference ability for all sample types, thus obtaining a simple ICPMS spectrum. In the helium QCell KED mode, iCAP ™ Q ICP-MS has sufficient sensitivity to provide ppt level detection limits for low-quality elements such as lithium, beryllium, boron, etc. Therefore, iCAP ™ Q is capable of conducting full quality range analysis of routine samples in environmental, clinical, and food applications.
